Today.az, Baku, 24 Sep 2008 – Wife of editor-in-chief of Azadliq newspaper Qanimat Zahid Ayanda Mursaliyeva met him in correctional facility No 17. She said he has severe rheumatic pains. “It is impossible to relieve these pains by pain-killers. They do not work. Therefore, Qanimat must be transferred to a medical center to undergo treatment”, she said.
Mursaliyeva noted that the head medical center of the Penitentiary system of the Ministry of Justice does not consider it necessary to transfer the journalist to the medical center. “They consider that treatment is possible in prison”, concluded Mursaliyeva.
