Job Description: Position Title – Field Coordinator; Program – ANMP; Reports To – Deputy Chief of Party; Position Location – Baku, Azerbaijan; Grade Level – Grade 2; Start Date – January 1st, 2013.
About IREX: IREX is an international nonprofit organization providing leadership and innovative programs to improve the quality of education, strengthen independent media, and foster pluralistic civil society development.
IREX seeks a qualified candidate for a full-time Field Coordinator position for the Azerbaijan New Media project, based in Baku. The Field Coordinator will work closely with the Deputy Chief of Party, to provide supervision and technical assistance to the IREX regional partners (former FYI, current internet kiosks).
More specifically, the Field Coordinator will:
Monitor programmatic aspects of activities related to the Community Information Centers and village kiosks
Network and collaborate with local NGOs, authorities and community organizations
Co-organize and provide guidance to administrators on community events
Co-organize regional training with IREX trainers and administrators
Co-organize and participate in training and monitoring actvities as requested by IREX
Secure and maintain partnerships with local NGOs
Compile narrative monthly reports for Community Information Centers and village kiosks
Prepare administrative & HR documents (inventory, recruitment, timesheets)
Collect and verify financial documentation (incl monthly advances and reports)
Serve as a liaison with Baku based service providers (telephone, internet subscriptions)
Assist with training preparations (logistics, etc)
Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• At least 2 years of project management experience;
• Strong ability to manage remotely a large team;
• Excellent written and verbal English and Azeri language skills;
• Experience working with senior government officials;
• Strong representational and interpersonal skills;
• Proficiency in computer packages (i.e. Word, Excel);
• Able to travel up to 30% in country to support technical activities;
• Proven financial skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in finance, management or appropriate technical field.
Salary is commensurate with experience and salary history.
