UzA, Tashkent, 25 Sep 2008 – The national seminar on the activities of mass media in the process of development of information society was held in Tashkent in the framework of the ICT Week 2008.
The forum was organized by the Public fund for support and development of independent print mass media and news agencies of Uzbekistan together with the Uzbek agency of communication and information, the National TV and radio company, the National human rights center, the Institute for civil society studies, the National association of NGOs, the National association of electronic mass media and the Creative union of journalists.
Deputies of the Legislative Chamber, leaders of different ministries and departments, agencies, media, teachers of journalism departments and others took part in the seminar.
Reports on information safety in the process of globalization, development of information exchange over the Internet, setting up online publications for youth, moral and ethical criteria of journalistic activities, basis of media business and other issues were heard at the forum.
