Gundogar, Ashgabat, 21 Aug 2008 – Acting at the expanded session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, taken place on August, 15th, 2008, president Qurbanqulu Berdymuhammedov declared an innovation in the curriculum of Turkmen high schools.
From the beginning of this academic year in the schedule of all high schools of the country there will be a new humanitarian discipline – “Social science of Turkmenistan” – which will include bases of such courses, as “Sacred Ruhnama”, “History”, “Philosophy”, “Sociology”, “Psychology”, “Ethics”, “Aesthetics”, “Political science”, “The Economic Theory” and “The Epoch of new Revival in Turkmenistan”, the president has declared.
Let’s remind, that earlier “Sacred Ruhnama” was studied in high schools as separate discipline and entered into the obligatory program of all introductory, transitive and final examinations.
