Baku, CASCFEN, Nov 02, 2012 – On November 01, 2012 Chairman of the Central Asian & Southern Caucasian Freedom of Expression Network (CASCFEN) Azer Hasret has paid his next visit to the editorial offices of Publika.Az, Teleqraf.com online publications and “Gundelik Teleqraf” (Daily Telegraph) daily newspaper. All three publications are headed by the former MP Mrs. Aynur Jamalqizi.
Main topics discussed during the visit and meeting with Aynur Jamalqizi were media ethics, impartial and unbiased journalism.
CASCFEN Chairman Azer Hasret has noted that instead of being very recently launched all three publications have gained some popularity among readers while there is quite strong competition in this realm. And he added that his organization would be interested to collaborate with these publications for the sake of ethical and high standard journalism.
Aynur Jamalqizi in turn noted that her publications always try to be in line with ethical standards of journalism. “We just understand that in terms of pressing competition we must rely on intellectual readers and that`s why we try always move towards intellectualization of our work. But unfortunately this is not always easy. Sometimes we get more attention to “yellow journalism” materials rather than to intellectual ones. Anyway we don`t give up and move on in such a direction which will bring us to more and more intellectual readers”, – has noted Mrs. Jamalqizi.
At the end of the meeting the both sides agreed on to work out collaboration methods and find forms of cooperation.
