Baku, CASCFEN, Oct. 29, 2012 – The leadership of the Baku based freedom of expression watchdog Central Asian & Southern Caucasian Freedom of Expression Network (CASCFEN) has visited Azerbaijan Writers Union (AWU) and met its Chairman, People`s Writer of Azerbaijan Anar. Visiting AWU were CASCFEN Chairman Azer Hasret, Deputy Chairman Nadir Azeri and Board Member Qalib Ibrahimoglu.
Azer Hasret has given to Anar information about CASCFEN and especially underlined that his organization gives more importance to the issues of freedom of expression propaganda. “Our organization is acting about ten years in this realm. We work mostly with Central Asian countries. Our main target is to bring together alongside with journalists writers, poets, artists and other professionals and achieve high level of freedom of expression culture in our region of the world. In this case it is important for us to get the blessing of experienced professionals like you”, – has noted Azer Hasret.
AWU Chairman Anar in turn noted that he would be happy to express his blessing to such an organization as CASCFEN and furthermore will try to be interested with its activities more. “We always appreciate activities of such organizations like yours and our blessing be upon you”, – has said he.
Nadir Azeri, CASCFEN Deputy Chairman noted as well that especially many young writers and journalists mix criticism with offence. “That`s why we as a freedom of expression organization need to use experience of such elders as you”, – has noted he.
CASCFEN Board Member Qalib İbrahimoğlu has thanked AWU Chairman for his time and attention to younger generation.
