Baku, CASCFEN, 03.09.2012 – Central Asian & Southern Caucasian Freedom of Expression Network (CASCFEN), which has recently gained state registration, formed its Board. As informed Azer Hasret, CASCFEN Chairman, new Board consists of 7 members representing different mass media outlets and freelance journalists. So the Board of CASCFEN is formed of the following personalities:

Rey Kerimoglu, Freelancer
Nushabe Huseynli, Editor, Space TV
Lale Musaqizi, Freelancer
Elshad Pashasoy, Correspondent, “Yeni Musavat” daily newspaper
Qalib Ibrahimoglu, Editor, “Ekspress” daily newspaper.
Newly formed Board appointed two Deputy Chairmen also. So Rey Kerimoglu and Nadir Azeri were appointed as CASCFEN Deputy Chairmen.
Sitting participants decided to form an assembly of the CASCFEN with at least 28 new members. So the decision was to end this process within 3 months.
At the end of the sitting CASCFEN Chairman Azer Hasret informed that he already started communication with international organizations about bilateral collaboration: “We hope to achieve successes in this direction and widen our activities to defend freedom of expression and propagate this culture especially in the Central Asian region”.
The last decision was made in regard to meetings with the heads of leading mass media. One more decision was taken to apply for membership in Azerbaijan Press Council.
