CJTeam, Yerevan, 22 Dec 2008 – On December 16 presentation of two scientific electronic journals took place at Congress Hotel in Yerevan. The electronic journals “Armenian Journal of Mathematics” and “Armenian Journal of Physics” are published as Open Access Journals under Creative Commons License.
Bimonthly scientific journals recently published their third issues. The journals are open and free both for the Armenian and foreign scientists wishing to put their articles in the journals or to study other articles in these spheres.
According to the project manager Tigran Zargaryan, Director of Fundamental Scientific Library of National Academy of Science of Armenia, the project aims at introduction of scientific communication network based on Open Access. Particularly: “this project aims at presenting publication new model in Armenia based on Open Access as an alternative option for scientists to commercial one. Indeed, this is a very prospective and too necessary to our scientific society,” says Zargaryan.
Not only Armenian, but also foreign specialists are involved in the journal editorial staff and according to field specialists it results in high quality of journals articles.
The project has been funded by Open Society Institute in Armenia.
