Journalists and Justice: Three-day workshop in Yerevan conducted by Lithuanian experts

CJTeam, Yerevan, 05 Sep 2008 – In October 2008 “Journalists’ Team for Sustainable Future” NGO with the support of the British Embassy Yerevan is organising a three-day workshop on Raising the Role of the Media in Covering Justice and Law Enforcement System in Armenia.

The workshop will be prepared and delivered by Dainius Radzevicius, President of Lithuanian Journalists Union and Henrikas Mickevicius, Executive Director of Lithuanian Human Rights Monitoring Institute.

During the workshop the Lithuanian experts will present Lithuanian experience in establishing free media and democratic institutions in the transitional period.

During the workshop the participants will choose the most vulnerable issues existing in Armenia, develop structures of potential stories and write thematic articles.

Twelve participants will be selected among journalists covering legal and judicial issues by a committee comprised of leading human rights and media experts. 

The working language of the workshop is Russian and Armenian.

More information on the date of the workshop and application procedure will be announced in late September.
