APA, Baku, 21 Aug 2008 – The list of the media outlets that will carry out free propaganda of the presidential candidates has been determined.
Press service of Central Election Commission (CEC) told APA that Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, newspapers Khalq qazeti, Respublika and Bakinskiy rabochiy are to allocate free places for pre-election campaign.
According to CEC’s appeal to mass media, the above-mentioned bodies, as well as other television and radio companies and periodicals should send relevant notifications to the Central Election Commission, when they make decision on the possibility of allocating air time for pre-election campaign. Media outlets are to publish terms and amount of the payment for air time and publication within 35 days after the official publication of the decision on appointing elections.
